i adore her as a singer, as an actress and as a woman
She is obsessed with Marilyn Monroe, reading every biography she can get her hands on. One of her treasured possessions is a small metal heart that used to belong to Monroe, a gift from Depp. Some Like It Hot was her favourite film at the age of five or six. She watched it over and over again at her home in a smart Parisian suburb. “Marilyn Monroe has touched me ever since,” she explains. “I adore her as a singer, as an actress and as a woman. She moves me an awful lot. There’s something divine in her. I get emotional whenever I watch her or listen to her.”

i am exactly what i am when you talk to me
people need a friendly surface regardless of what lies underneath, and i just can't cater to that. i can't, you know. i am exactly what i am when you talk to me, maybe not when you see me because looks can be deceiving. and it depend on what you need from me. lots of people need me in the public maybe to be introverted and just need me to be the kind of hero that they need, or the kind of villain that they need to see, but i'm none of that, or maybe i'm all of that. but you'll never know until you taste it for yourself, until you meet me, you know, i'm fine, we could talk on and on about lots of things you know

I just found two interviews jeff did with steve harris for a japanese magazine. one is from 1994, and the other from 1995.
the second one is kind of bad quality, but i'm listening to catch every word. i've been searching for interviews and pictures of jeff for a long time, and i love how new things still surface. like these three pictures. which i LOVE. these interviews... man, i wish i was as eloquent as he was. the way he saw the world, the way he lived, his thoughts, his words all just make me want to learn more, and experience more things and go to different places and meet new people, and create create create, to express, to read, to write... and i haven't even gotten to his music, which is other worldly. people always glorify and sanctify people once they're gone, but really, i think he was/is the most amazing and inspiring artist and person, that i've been exposed to. i love listening to him talk in these interviews, i dream of being able to have a conversation with him... man i sound obsessed.. and maybe i am. but just listen for yourself.

Jeff: Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan?
guy in audience: Yeah, you know one?
Jeff: ... You saw him in the park, right?
guy: Yeah!
Jeff: That's why you mispronounced his name, 'cause-
audience laughs
Jeff: no no no no no because I have a friend named Penny and she uh yeah, I played her at the thing and she said "Nasrat". It's Nusrat, and he's my Elvis. That's my guy. I listen to him everyday.
girl in audience: He's playing at the World Music Institute.
Jeff: He's playing at the New Music Institute? World Music Institute. November 14th. But I really don't want to turn everybody on to him because then everybody goes, "Yeah, that Nusrat thing, yeah it's a cool hang. I saw you at Nusrat right? 6 from the left, clapping your hands"
girl in audience: Yeah, but you know what his nickname is.
Jeff: Yeah, you're right. I do. I know everything about him. Remember that movie "Diva" about that guy who like rode around on that motorcycle and just like knew everything about- that's the way I am with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. I know his nickname as a child.
What did, can you, hey i'll see you later. do you remember anything that he did, because maybe i could do it, and blow you away with my acumen.
